At Iidabashi Language School, improving conversation ability is our top priority. We aim to take our students past merely understanding the various expressions used in casual and business settings, and move on to the point where students can use these expressions in daily life.

The learning environment at ILS is ideal for those with no experience of studying Japanese as well as those who have an understanding of grammar but struggle with fluent conversation.
With a maximum class size of four in group lessons, students have ample time to converse and teachers can provide finely tuned guidance while paying attention to the needs and levels of their students.

ILS has no fixed study terms. This means students can begin their lessons at a convenient time, study at their own pace, and take advantage of any long holidays they may have to really focus on their Japanese study. Short-term students also find this system perfectly matches their needs.
Students can begin their lessons from any Japanese level, and our busier students are also well catered for - weekday lessons are available up to 9.30 p.m. and the school is also open on Saturdays..
Should you find yourself unable to attend a lesson on a scheduled day, you have the added safety net of our lesson transfer system, which allows you to reschedule your lesson if you let us know by 6:00 p.m. the day before.

All the teaching staff at ILS have specialist training and plentiful experience in teaching the Japanese language.
Our teachers provide comprehensive support for students aiming to boost their Japanese level, whether this be in the form of advice about self-directed learning, adjusting the pace of the lesson to students’ levels and goals, identifying and providing directed help for students’ weak points or tailoring lessons to suit individual needs.

With easy access to the JR Sobu Line, Tokyo Metro Tozai Line, Yurakucho Line, Nanboku Line and the Toei Oedo Line, ILS is convenient for students living all over Tokyo.
We do everything we can to keep our lesson prices as low as possible to remove any financial restrictions on students enthusiastic about studying Japanese.

In order that students at ILS can enjoy relaxed conversation practice, we conduct our lessons in an atmosphere in which students can feel at home, learning Japanese over a cup of coffee.
This allows our students to feel happy communicating with new people and to experience the true joy of learning another language, two factors that we believe have an extremely positive impact on language skills - particularly conversation ability - and that help maintain students’ motivation and positive attitude towards study.
