Speak Japanese! Have fun learning Japanese conversation at Iidabashi Japanese Language School, Tokyo.

How to say “replying to someone’s email immediately” in Japanese?

→【Soku resu 即レス】名詞

Meaning: An instant response during an email exchange.
Conversely, a delayed response is called an “oso-resu” or “kame-resu.”

Soku 即 means instant
Kame 亀 is turtle in Japanese

Example: (in an email reply to a friend)

「即レスありがとう!じゃあ、今週の土曜日に会おうね~(^O^)/」

” soku resu arigatou! Jaa konshu no doyobi ni aoone(^O^)/

English translation

“Thanks for the soku-resu! OK, see you this Saturday…(^O^)/”
